Movie Synopsis
Kati Patang is a 1970 Indian Hindi movie produced and directed by Shakti Samanta. It became a box office success. It stars Asha Parekh as a woman pretending to be a widow, and her ensuing trials and tribulations. The film is based on a published story by Cornell Woolrich titled I Married a Dead Man and had been filmed before as No Man of Her Own starring Barbara Stanwyck. It would be remade in India again as the Tamil film "Nenjil Oru Mul" , and by Hollywood again as Mrs. Winterbourne. The film was Shakti's 2nd film with Rajesh Khanna after Aradhana and marked the second of a string of nine movies in which Mr. Samanta and Mr. Khanna collaborated. The movie also features Rajesh Khanna, Nasir Husain, Bindu and Prem Chopra.
