Movie Synopsis
Bhoothnath is a Bollywood film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Shahrukh Khan, Aman Siddiqui, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Rajpal Yadav. It is directed by Vivek Sharma and produced by Ravi Chopra. The film is an adaptation of the Oscar Wilde short-story The Canterville Ghost. The story is about the relationship between a deceased old man and a boy named Banku. The ghost is named Bhoothnath by Banku. Juhi Chawla plays the boy's mother and Shahrukh Khan is her husband. They come to live at Bhoothnath's old home, Nath Villa in Goa. Banku calls the ghost Angel instead of Bhooth, and the two become friends. Priyanshu Chatterjee plays Amitabh’s son in this movie. The film began shooting on 18 October 2007 and released worldwide on 9 May 2008.
